After many years of pilgrimage to the stupa-mandala of Borobudur (in Indonesia), Lama Gangchen realised this sadhana, which when we walk through the physical pathways of this sacred structure, guides us through the NgalSo Self-Healing practices.
The Borobudur stupa-mandala was built in the eighth century on the island of Java. It miraculously escaped destruction over the passage of the centuries and was finally re-discovered and brought to the world’s attention at the end of the eighteenth century. UNESCO declared the stupa-mandala a world heritage site in the 1970s.
The physical structure of the Borobudur stupa-mandala offers us a detailed map of the human consciousness: its particular quality lies in its ability to allow practitioners to physically traverse the stages and paths of the Tantric practices, which are materially illustrated on the actual structure.
